Smith discusses how gay and lesbian identities can link people across racial divides, and she highlights the Black feminist movement as a blueprint for interconnecting different marginalized communities. She also discusses the interconnectedness of racism and homophobia, and she identifies activism and organizing as the key for reducing both racism and homophobia.
